Hillary Clinton Helps Kamala Harris in Debating Trump
Hillary Clinton Helps Kamala Harris in Debating Trump, Despite losing to Donald Trump in the 2016 Democratic primary, the candidate had several compelling moments during their discussion. She provided some insights for Kamala Harris during an interview.
Compared to other Democrats, Hillary Clinton has the most debate experience against Donald J. Trump.
Three of the six general election debates in which Mr. Trump has taken part have taken place during the 2016 presidential campaign, during which she was her party’s nominee. The nation’s perception of his campaign and potential as president was significantly shaped by such exchanges.
Naturally, Mr. Trump went on to win the 2016 election, a result that still terrifies Democrats.
During Mrs. Clinton’s call this week regarding her former debate coach, Karen Dunn, who is now assisting Vice President Kamala Harris, I used the chance to inquire about her encounter with Mr. Trump on the debate platform.
“Everyone agreed that I was well-prepared and that I won all three debates,” Mrs. Clinton stated.
Below are some extracts, slightly trimmed and condensed, from our talk.
What recollections do you have regarding your own getting ready to take on Donald Trump?
During the first debate, Trump made fun of me for being prepared. We hadn’t given this much attention previously, because who would have guessed that we would be made fun of for practicing for a presidential debate in front of eighty-five or ninety million people?

In other words, I acknowledged that I had prepared. Let me tell you something else for which I prepared: my preparation for becoming president. since I was so confident. I was familiar with the content. I was at ease. I also realized that I had to turn the tables on Trump and stop making him the focus of attention all the time.
What words of wisdom would you like to share with Kamala Harris before her Trump debate?
She has demonstrated her debating prowess in both her Californian campaigns and her discussion with Mike Pence. So, I believe she needs to be sufficiently ready so that she can play both offensive and defense against Trump, as there is a lot of ground to cover.
Have you discussed this debate with Harris?
He doesn’t respond to the queries. He doesn’t provide any details. Based on the reports, it seems like he is taking a hard line and will just try to destroy her, which is his standard tactic.
You have to confront him once more on his appalling track record as president, the things he has stated he intends to do the next time, and his affiliation with Project 2025.
She has a lot of strong arguments, in my opinion.
Do you believe that her general tactic of downplaying or ignoring Trump is the right one?
It seems to be functioning well. Really, I believe that people are finding her wonderful, enthusiastic campaign to be really appealing. And all he needs to say or do is undermine her. He has nothing good to say about the globe or our nation, and I believe she is managing him brilliantly.
Is there anything more you would like her to know or remember about your encounter with Trump?
In my opinion, Philippe Reines, a former adviser to Hillary Clinton who has dressed up as Mr. Trump for both her and Ms. Harris’s debate preparation sessions, is a perfect fit to play Trump because, quite frankly, he did such an excellent job of capturing the essence of the man for me that I have no doubt he is doing the same for the vice president.
Have you discussed the strategy for winning the debate with Harris?
I talked with her about a number of things. She just should not be baited. She should bait him. He can be rattled. He doesn’t know how to respond to substantive, direct attacks.
And I think that from her prosecutorial background, I think that’s what she will be equipped to do. I mean, when I said he was a Russian puppet and he just sputtered onstage, I think that’s an example of how you get out a fact about him that really unnerves him.
The more of himself that is seen on stage, the weaker his leadership is. He is not a reliable boss. People will start to question him more the more that may be revealed. And since those who have already committed to supporting her or him are unlikely to alter, that is truly the goal of this argument.
However, there is still room for movement in the important states to convince people that they do not want to support him for a another four years.
