Kamala Harris Fires Back: Trump’s Racist Comments Exposed!
Kamala Harris Fires Back: Trump’s Racist Comments Exposed!. Outrage is still mounting after Donald Trump’s racist anti-Puerto Rican remarks at his Madison Square Garden speech in New York were denounced by Democrats, celebrities, and even some Republicans.
Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe was criticized for his comments against Puerto Rico and Latinos at the event on Sunday.
“I don’t know whether you guys know, but there is a floating island of rubbish in the middle of the ocean right now. He made controversial remarks, including, “I believe it’s called Puerto Rico.”
Hispanic groups and Democrats on both sides of the aisle condemned the comments as “derogatory” and “offensive” in the hours that followed.
“I think Donald Trump’s event in Madison Square Garden last night really highlighted a point that I’ve been making throughout this campaign,” Kamala Harris added, calling the comments “nonsense.” He is genuinely preoccupied with his complaints, himself, and splitting our nation.
The event was “just embarrassing,” according to Joe Biden, who also said, “It’s beneath any president, but that’s what we’re getting used to.” This election is crucial because of this.
In a series of posts, Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who was born to Puerto Rican parents in New York, criticized the remarks.
“This isn’t the comedy store. With your kit, you’re glorifying neo-Nazis like MTG and lowering women’s rights to the Stone Age. When Hinchcliffe defended his comments, she wrote in one tweet, “Your’sense of humor’ doesn’t change that.”
Tim Walz, Harris’s running mate, also did not find the racist remarks amusing.

People in Puerto Rico are citizens. In an AOC Twitch broadcast, he said, “They serve in the military and pay taxes at a nearly higher rate than anybody else.”
The comments were swiftly condemned by the Harris team and reacted strongly from prominent Puerto Rican Republicans, including Angel Cintron, the head of the island’s Republican party.
The comments on X were denounced by Republican representative Maria Elvira Salazar, who represents portions of Miami and has attended recent Trump events: “I am appalled by @TonyHinchcliffe’s racist remark that Puerto Rico is a ‘floating island of garbage.’” GOP values are not reflected in this speech. More than 48,000 Puerto Rican soldiers served in Vietnam, and more than 345 of them received Purple Hearts. This courage is admirable. Learn for yourself!
Senator Rick Scott, a Republican from Florida, also used X to attack the comic.
“This joke went viral for a reason. It isn’t funny, and it’s not true.Puerto Ricans are amazing people and amazing Americans. “In a post,” he wrote.

Using more harsher language, former Trump administration official and fervent supporter Peter Navarro said on X that “@tonyhinchcliffe must be the biggest, stupidest asshole that ever came down the comedy pike.”
Trump’s team is working feverishly to keep the criticism under control. Campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said Hinchcliffe had made a “joke in poor taste,” but she also hinted that the incident was being overblown in an interview with Fox News.
According to a statement released by President Trump’s campaign spokesperson Danielle Alvarez, “This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign.”
But the criticism endures outside of politics. Puerto Rican musicians Ricky Martin and Bad Bunny proclaimed their support for Kamala Harris following the Trump rally. Martin told his 18 million Instagram followers, “This is what they think of us.” Cast your vote for @kamalaharris.
Several PACs have seized the opportunity to expand their support for the Harris campaign.
After raising $30,000 to SMS all Puerto Rican voters in Pennsylvania after the Trump event, Nuestro Pac, a Democratic Super Pac aimed at Latinos, started doing so on Monday, according to the Washington Post.
