Powerlifting Paralympics 2024: Google Doodles, Elite athletes from all around the world are competing for gold and setting records in the para powerlifting events, which have gained a lot of attention ahead of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. • Heavier Divisions: Bose Omolayo of Nigeria and Rehab Ahmed of Egypt are two athletes with incredible strength; Omolayo is the favorite to maintain Nigeria’s supremacy in para powerlifting as she leads her category with a substantial lift.

Evening Stars:

The women’s up to 55kg event, which will feature Egyptian Rehab Ahmed, will kick off the evening session. Ahmed is the current world champion and the holder of the record for the weight category (135 kg). Additionally, she won a silver medal in the lower weight (-50 kg) division at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The day’s last competition is the men’s up to 65 kg final, where China’s Zou Yi appears formidable following his recent bench press. Yi holds the 222 kg world record and is the current world champion.

However, keep an eye out for Amir Jafari Arangeh of Iran, who is keen to turn his Tokyo 2020 silver into gold. He won the silver medal in the Dubai 2023 World Championship.
